I made the list

The world’s average income is $5,000 per person per year.  My income is considerably higher than that.  There’s an online calculator that helps you compare your income to the world’s economic reality.  The tool is not perfect.  Actually, it’s flawed in that it only compares income, not accumulated wealth, which would put most Americans even higher on the Global Rich List.

If your individual yearly income is $33,700, you’re in the richest 5% of the world’s people.  Puts things into perspective, doesn’t it?
